Are we vaccinating too much?

In the mid-1990s, a groundbreaking article was written in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association entitled “Are we Vaccinating too much?”
In this article, a leading expert in this field, Dr Ron Schultz concluded , “Clients are Paying for something with no effect except the risk of an adverse reaction”.
Since that time, the following animal care institutions have endorsed reductions in the numbers and frequency of vaccinations for pets:
- American Veterinary Medical Association,
- American Animal Hospital Association
- Twenty- two schools of Veterinary Medicine in the U.S.
More and more research has confirmed that many, many vaccines we give to our Labradors are unnecessary and potentially harmful.
And yet 90% of the Veterinarians in the United States continue to ignore these guidelines, and continue to give vaccines, which have been proven to be unnecessary and potentially harmful.
Vaccination is a billion dollar industry. It is vital that you first of all appreciate the possibility that:
- Your vet may not be correctly informed about the dangers of vaccines
- Your vet may be making a large part of his income from this very profitable practice
